Anchor Cottage by Jenny Urquhart

View from Anchor Cottage by Jenny Urquhart

😍😍😍The brilliantly talented Jenny Urquhart has painted this for us!!!! Thank you sooooo much Jen, it’s beautiful.

⚓️⚓️⚓️It’s the view from Anchor Cottage looking out over The Yealm with St. Peter’s Church perched up on the hill.

🚣‍♀️🚣‍♀️🚣‍♀️The painting captures the very essence of Noss Mayo, holidaying on the river is magical and it does make your heart soar.

Jenny’s painting will take pride of place in the open plan living room on the first floor and we can’t wait to hang it up.

When are we opening?

We await government advice about opening up and have carried out a full risk assessment and are implementing strict deep-cleaning and disinfecting between each guest visit.

Daily or Weekly Deliveries

🍏🍓🍞We can also offer daily deliveries of sealed local food produce 🍶as well as Devon wine 🍾🍷and cider. We can also provide delicious pop-in-the-oven meals🥧, doggy treats, cheese hampers🧀, award-winning jams….it’s all very foodie down here, you have to exercise hard to indulge 😅😅😅

We have a key safe so that you can check in easily and safely. We’ve removed all soft furnishings and all linen will be washed at 60 degrees as per guidelines. You have your own entrance as well as a garden outside for dining.

And there’s talk of all three local riverside pubs offering draft pints in their gardens in the, hopefully, near future 🤞🤞🍻

About Jenny Urquhart

Jenny Urquhart

I first met Jenny in 2009 when our equally boisterous children hooked up at pre-school in Bristol.  After 10 years as a biology teacher,Jenny decided to pack it all in to follow her passion for art.

Since becoming a full time artist her work has appeared in the RWA, increasing numbers of South West galleries, Selfridges in London and national media.

Jenny’s work is permanently installed at Bristol Temple Meads railway station. She was asked to decorate 2 of the Shaun the Sheep on the Shaun in the City trail for the Wallace & Gromit’s Children’s Foundation, one of which appeared at Paddington Station, London http://shauninthecity.org.uk

Much of her work features South West coastal resorts and we’re delighted that she has added View from Anchor Cottage for us!
