First Floor Living Space

Our well-equipped kitchen has everything you need for preparing meals from scratch for all you wannabe Nigel Slaters. If Nigella is more your style just let us know and we’ll provide you with the necessary baking equipment, the eye-level oven is perfect for keeping an eye on those cakes.

If you simply want to totally relax we can arrange outside caterers to come in and cook for you, just let us know what you’re after & I’ll send you some options and prices.

Or you can order some ready meals and just pop them in the microwave.

The granite central island is simply perfect for sipping your gin & tonic whilst waiting for dinner to cook.

Dining Area

Our open-plan dining area has a lovely long table that comfortably seats eight. It’s great gathering your friends and family for long lazy lunches, celebratory suppers or just for playing board games.

Oh and did I mention the view? You can see the tide come in and out on the river, fascinating and restorative at any time of the day…

The Lounge area is perfectly placed for relaxing and watching the beautiful views, on sunny days it’s delightful to sit and while away an hour on the balcony. I call it my G&T balcony!

The lounge can comfortably seat 8 people and there is a range of viewing options – as well as standard Freeview including all BBC channels there is Sky (signature only, you’ll need to log on to your own account to purchase movies or sports matches), Amazon Prime and Netflix (via your own account).

There is something that feels very ‘holiday’ when you’re living on the first floor.

The Nook

The Nook is where you can find the games! It’s a study size room with an additional screen for plugging in your XBox or PS4 – I so wish I didn’t know what this meant(!) – there is also a good range of board games that vary in terms of length of time to play or difficulty or suitability for kids. Rich is a massive board games fan & we have loads more available so if that’s of interest just let me know and I’ll pop them there for you*. We also have the obligatory pack of cards, uno & various other games that are great for all the family. The table in the dining area is also an excellent one for board games with easy access to the fridge for top-ups and wonderful views if your Monopoly game is taking too long!
