Free Parking at Anchor Cottage

Free parking for two cars or a car and a boat. Riverside villages are beautiful and ancient but parking is a premium. Anchor Cottage has two parking spaces right outside the front door so it is easy to pack and unpack. You can launch your boat/kayak/canoe/paddleboard at high tide directly from the shared private slipway but if you want to travel further afield – a romp on Dartmoor or some shopping in Totnes then you can simply jump in the motor and head off.

You can leave your car(s) parked at Anchor Cottage and walk to The Swan for fish and chips or The Ship for fresh scallops or paddle to The Dolphin for a gin and tonic. You can see for yourself just how lucky we are to be able to offer two secure and private car parking spots at Anchor Cottage.

Saunter first thing to the Post Office and Community Store in Newton Ferrers and pick up your fresh sourdough and maybe a magazine, a leisurely breakfast is what holidays are all about isn’t it?

The Co-op in Newton Ferrers has a decent selection of wine as well as other holiday staples. Order in a takeaway – Plymouth is only 10 miles away so just eat can drop in a curry or pizza.

I can arrange for a delicious box of local goodies to be delivered or for a special occasion I can organise outside caterers to prepare amazing gourmet food for you to eat in Anchor Cottage.
