The Utility Room / Boot Room is on the ground floor with access to the downstairs shower room with toilet. This is one of my favourite rooms because it is so very, very useful!

With direct access from the garage you can come off the beach and step straight into a nice hot shower – it’s electric but we’re looking to upgrade that in the winter. If you’ve been paddle boarding or kayaking simply peel off your wetsuit and shower off downstairs. I try to remember to bring my towel down before I go SUPing!

If you’ve been on a nice long muddy walk it’s a great place to kick off your wellies & hang up wet coats before heading upstairs for a warming cup of hot chocolate and a slice of cake.

🐶It’s also great for giving your dog a nice clean too before settling them into their bed or basket. This is where we keep the treat tin too.

There is a great washer dryer machine, perfect for a quick wash, it’s set to eco. There is a clothes dryer to minimise use of the tumble dryer but it’s there if you need it.

And it’s great for just storing all your stuff. Beach stuff, watersports stuff, picnic stuff. It just keeps it all out of the way and easy to grab on your way out because you’ll probably be out a lot!
